Watch Eagles of Death Metal Play ‘Save a Prayer’ With Duran Duran Days Before Paris Shootings

Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes on “TFI Friday”

Eagles of Death Metal have been around for awhile now — forming in 1998 and releasing a debut album in 2004 — but many people were introduced to the band under horrifying circumstances on Friday (Nov. 13), when a mass shooting at their Paris concert left more than 100 people dead.

Paris Shootings: Hostages Taken at Eagles of Death Metal Concert, 118 Reported Dead

Not long before that tragic concert, on Oct. 31, the band appeared on the U.K. TV show TFI Friday and performed “Save a Prayer” with Duran Duran, from their 1982 album Rio. Given the now-trending hashtag #PrayForParis, the performance and song choice seems especially fitting.

Watch the performance below:

At least 118 have been confirmed dead following shootings at Le Bataclan theater, where Eagles of Death Metal were the night’s headliners. The band reportedly escaped when the gunfire began, though two crew members are unaccounted for.
