First condoms, now free tattoos while raving in Amsterdam – after the famed Condomerie hosted one of El Tony Mate’s intimate invite-only Selected Sessions in October, on 4th June, 100 lucky attendees experienced global headliner Jen Cardini’s wave-laced house sound at the city’s vibrant Antiek Tattoo Studio. Free tattoos added extra colour – even Jen herself got inked! French-born, Berlin-based DJ/producer Jen Cardini has released on Kompakt, Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee and regularly plays at Sonar Festival, Berghain and Paris’ Centre Pompidou. Local DJ and producer Kyra Khaldi laid on her dark, sensual, gritty & trippy set in support.
As with all of the El Tony’s Europe-wide Selected Sessions, the event is now available for all to stream.

“Selected Sessions is El Tony Mate’s way of connecting music, culture and community through curated, intimate events,” says El Tony Mate’s Culture Specialist, Ellen Fölmli. ‘It was great to return to Amsterdam after our ADE event with Young Marco last October. The moments of connection, people dancing together and celebrating culture in such an intimate setting were what made the evening truly special. One of my personal highlights of the evening was seeing someone leave the Selected Sessions with the very first El Tony Mate bottle tattoo in Amsterdam.’
At each El Tony Mate Selected Session, a small audience gets to see a globally renowned headliner (e.g. Young Marco, DJ Tennis, Bambounou,Sofia Kourtesis, Innervisions’ EDE) alongside local talent, in unexpected spaces across Europe also including a Basel fondue bar, a barber shop & La Taqueria (Zurich) and a Marseille second hand clothes store.
El Tony Mate, known to clubbers everywhere for their natural-energy drinks brand, curates Selected Sessions to contribute to the vibrant music scene, championing intimacy over scale, creativity over commerciality, and genuine connection over convention. They also provide DJ academies and producer academies to encourage fresh music talent.
