WAYWARD’S ‘ALL A BIT MAD’ VIDEO IS A HILARIOUS, FAMILIAR, AND HEARTWARMING ODE TO OUR LIVES THROUGH ZOOM AND ICONIC LOCKDOWN MOMENTS.

The video is for their recently released single, All A Bit Mad which features the voice of Ezra Collective’s Femi Koleoso.

The duo emulate viral memes and videos, and the relatable home activities we’ve all been participating in. That famous clip of Professor Robert Kelly being interrupted by his children on BBC News. The I’m Not A Cat lawyer Zoom filter. Turning your living room into a club for parties, then into a gym for home workouts, and then an office for Zoom team meetings with the everyday teething problems we face on video calls. Green screening yourself into festivals & outside the front of Berghain. And of course, the great admiration and appreciation for the NHS and frontline workers.

WAYWARD EXPLAIN – “This track came together as a direct result of the lockdown experience, stuck at home, reminiscing of club experiences and desperate to conjure the feelings associated with being at a rave. Therefore we wanted the video to directly visualise this experience for us. We were also feeling very disconnected from our friends and family so it was nice being sent videos from them and made us feel closer in this isolating period. A lot of the footage came from one night where we rented a laser, got the smoke machine and decks out and tried to bring the club experience to our living room. Hopefully this is the last Zoom party you’ll ever have to attend ;)”
