Indie-pop/rock artist whenitsmytime returns with a heartfelt new single, “Stupid Little Life”—a shimmering, introspective track that urges listeners to embrace the present rather than endlessly chasing future success. Blending warm melodies, atmospheric production, and poetic lyricism, the song serves as both a personal revelation and a universal message of gratitude.
Written and produced in Nashville, “Stupid Little Life” challenges the belief that happiness must be earned through milestones. In an age where ambition and consumer culture constantly push people toward an ever-moving finish line, whenitsmytime offers an alternative: fulfillment in the now.

“I wrote this after finishing a morning gym routine, feeling frustrated by the idea that happiness was something I had to postpone for future achievements,” says Andrew Krivtsov, the creative force behind whenitsmytime. “Then I noticed how beautiful the morning was, how the birds—who I ended up sampling in the song—were simply enjoying it without worrying about whether they were ‘successful’ enough by bird standards.”
Krivtsov, an immigrant from Russia’s Arctic region, grew up in a place where the sun barely rises for months at a time. His music reflects a search for warmth—both literal and emotional—a theme woven throughout “Stupid Little Life”. Since launching whenitsmytime in New York City in 2020, he has crafted a sound that fuses indie, pop, and rock influences, drawing inspiration from Twenty One Pilots, Tame Impala, The 1975, and Jason Mraz.
More than just a song, “Stupid Little Life” is an anthem for anyone caught in the cycle of “not enough,” offering a reminder that joy exists in the small, everyday moments.
The single is out now on all streaming platforms. Let it be the soundtrack to your next quiet moment of gratitude.
