And Vinly has been pressing the deceased’s ashes into wax since 2010, and now the company is the subject of a new documentary. You can watch it below.
The film, titled Hearing Madge, follows the story John Hobson, who chose to have his mother’s ashes pressed into a vinyl cut with recordings of her voice.
The company, owned by Jason Leach, has the tagline ‘life from beyond the groove’ and offers music lovers a sonic memory of the deceased.
