Opening its 2026 catalogue with a double-dose of gems, Boogeyman, the sister imprint of Cuttin’ Headz, returns with a label debut that typifies its ongoing ethos. Established as a home for forward-looking house music under the vision and guidance of Jesse Calosso, championing emerging talent while reflecting the label founder’s own approach to groove-led house music, it provides a space where new voices can sit alongside familiar ones in a distinctly cohesive universe. While ‘On Time’ marks Aamir Zee’s debut on the label as a solo artist, he is already a familiar presence within the extended label ecosystem as one half of LA-based duo Late Delivery, who have previously released on both Boogeyman and Cuttin’ Headz, alongside other respected imprints. Stepping out on his own here, Aamir brings a fresh yet assured perspective, reinforcing Boogeyman’s commitment to nurturing evolving artists while maintaining a clear identity.
The title track ‘On Time’ brings a rhythm-driven groove with intricate percussion, bumping bass licks, and a hypnotic lead vocal, while B-side ‘Roses’ explores a deeper, more atmospheric aesthetic, layering warm low-end and hazy textures to create a compelling, immersive journey.
