The band’s first album in seven years is available now wherever you listen to music. ‘Bigger Than All Of Us‘ is composed of 16 tracks and features long-time collaborators Richard Bedford, Zoë Johnston, Justine Suissa and Opposite The Other as well as Victoria Horn, Malou and Oliver Smith.
The album is a love letter to the Anjunafamily, the community which has been at the very centre of Above & Beyond‘s career for the last 25 years.
“‘Bigger Than All Of Us’ is about the community that we’ve created. It’s like an eggshell around us, bringing love, respect and inclusivity to every show that we do. The title track itself brings another interpretation, painting a world where we’re all interconnected, and everything we do affects everybody else. “Really if I think about our songs over the years, it’s always been very rooted in reality and life. And I’ve been really inspired by the honesty of the people; Justine, Tony, Zoë, who’ve really put so much of their own story into the songs.
And I think now, having written songs with these people for such a long time, it’s also really awesome to understand how those songs are almost like a little time capsule of what was going on in our lives at the time. And a lot of life has happened in 25 years and a lot of those songs are really marking some important times in our lives.” – Paavo
