Acid Harry has been blazing a trail through the underground in recent years. His take on tech house is packed with personality, from playful samples to distinctly futuristic atmospheres. The South London-based artist has already landed chart-topping releases on Nervous, Hellbent and Club Bad, with more than 100,000 monthly listeners and over four million streams. Now, he makes his Repopulate Mars debut alongside the UK’s daytime NHS doctor and nighttime house artist DRSJ and NYC-based producer VRSNØNE on the three-track ‘Don’t Tell Me How To Rave’ EP.
“I’ve been releasing music for 3-4 years now, and releasing on Repopulate Mars was one of my goals from the very start. Lee Foss was one of the producers that got me hooked on house music back in the day. Releasing an EP on his label is a true honour for me as a producer. These three records represent the past, present and future of my sound, with ‘No effort’ myself and VRSNØNE paying homage to our addiction with Latin-inspired percussion, and ‘Pop The Can’ with the bouncy basslines and UKG-infused groove. Growing up in South London, I was surrounded by garage; it was unavoidable, so I wanted to bring more influence into my sound, which I think Sam and I have achieved! Moving to the star of the show, ‘Don’t Tell Me How To Rave’, blending wobbly UKG-infused basslines and skippy drums, I feel represents the future horizon of my sound!
