Today, Tel Aviv-based artists Adam Ten and Rafael unite to release a new collaborative single, “Toys,” out now via Diplo’s Higher Ground label. The release marks a return to the label for Adam Ten, who, last year, climbed the Beatport charts to No. 1 alongside fellow Tel Aviv producer Maori with “Spring Girl.”

“Toys” shares the same playfulness of the previous record, as Adam Then and Rafael skillfully wind down the tempo and energy of their psytrance influences while keeping the buzzing synths and warping basslines and injecting an irresistible groove.
“I had this one groove going, but didn’t know what to take it in,” Adam Ten says about the writing process. “But then Rafael heard it, and he had some great ideas. We sat down together to build a story, recording a funky lead with some atmosphere around it.”
“We tried to push the sounds to be trippy and unexpected, but at the same time make you groove,” says Rafael.

One of Tel Aviv’s most coveted dance music exports as a scene leader, label boss, DJ, and producer, Adam Ten, is set to debut at Coachella this year with a performance alongside Mita Gami at the Yuma Tent. Built upon a close-knit culture of supporting one another, Tel Aviv’s dance music scene has seen a recent boom of up-and-coming artists led by Adam Ten. His production style, rooted in the regional staple genre of psytrance, is a departure from pure Chicago house and mainstream tech house. A member of the thriving Tel Aviv music scene, Rafael’s first surge in notoriety came in 2022 when house music royalty Jamie Jones played his edit of Jimi Jules’ “My City’s On Fire” during a set for Cercle. Since then, Rafael’s music has been played on various major stages with support from the likes of Michael Bibi, Diplo, Carlita, Gorgon City, Camelphat, and many others. Rafael’s production talent has landed him releases on Calussa’s Hurry Up Slowly, Gorgon City’s REALM, Adam Ten’s Maccabi House, staple tech house label Moon Harbour, and many more.
