Agoria’s Sapiens Recordings marks 100th release with special collaborative EP from Agoria, Rami Khalife, Blasé and NOEMIE

Agoria’s forward-thinking Sapiens Recordings celebrates its landmark 100th release with ‘We Were Little’, a high-profile collaboration from the label boss himself and longtime collaborators Rami Khalifé, Blasé and NOEMIE.

‘We Were Little’ is at once intimate and expansive – a symbolic statement of Sapiens’ mission to join past, present and future. There’s a melodic grandeur in the gorgeous strings and pianos, and deep electronic soul throughout the track that nods to Agoria’s long love of Detroit.

For Agoria, the 100th release called for something more than a solo statement. Instead, it becomes a celebration of the musical connections and collaborations at the heart of Sapiens. Alongside the original, a remix package landing in June reimagines it through distinct club and experimental lenses: rRoxymore injects raw, textured elements, Floyd Lavine brings a deeper, percussive fluidity, and Head High takes it into more stripped-back territory.

A pioneer in merging electronic music with art, technology and conceptual projects, Agoria has collaborated with AI since 2010, sent coded music into space with Sonar Festival, and in 2024 became the first artist to perform inside the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, all of which speak to a restless curiosity about how music can be experienced and shared.
