Ailow Taps Into Midnight Canyon Racing Vibes on High-Octane Trap Single “tōge” on NIGHTMODE

Seattle’s Ailow is stepping on the gas with “tōge,” his blistering debut on NIGHTMODE arriving May 23. A nod to the Japanese word for “mountain pass,” the track captures the rush of midnight canyon runs—and it’s built to be blasted at full speed.

“tōge” ignites on contact. Cinematic string stabs set the scene, before Ailow launches into a high-octane barrage of trap percussion, metallic synth bends, and snarling sub-bass. Glitchy backspins slice through the mix, while a sharp vocal hook adds fuel to the fire, creating a rollercoaster of tension and release that mirrors the adrenaline of nighttime drifting.

Originally crafted as a personal soundtrack for late-night drives, the track was rigorously tested on real canyon runs—fine-tuned to deliver the exact energy Ailow needed behind the wheel. It’s trap with a racing pulse, laced with a wave-inspired atmosphere and engineered for those who live fast and push limits.

Known for shifting effortlessly between phonk, dubstep, bass house, and trap, Ailow is no stranger to the underground. Producing since the age of 16, his genre-jumping catalog has earned nods from heavyweights like Steve Aoki, Timmy Trumpet, Wenzday, Heimanu, and KAAZE. On the live front, he’s revving up to join Juelz at a special pop-up in Vancouver, with additional support slots lined up alongside Deathpact and GRAVEDGR in Seattle.

With “tōge,” Ailow sharpens his focus and steps into the spotlight with precision. It’s a bold first impression on NIGHTMODE—one that merges his love for speed and sound into a fully realized vision. As his profile accelerates alongside a string of standout gigs and growing industry support, Ailow proves he’s leading the charge for a new sound.

“I originally made this record to have something to play to myself when I was driving back roads at night. I’m so excited to finally share it with everyone! Excited to be working with NIGHTMODE on this release.”—Ailow

Ailow’s new single “tōge” is available on all platforms via NIGHTMODE.
