Frequent collaborators Albert Breaker and mohalizer—Naples-based house producer and Lagos’ homegrown singer/songwriter, respectively—reunite via Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint to release their sophomore single, “Trauma,” on September 23rd.

Rooted in authentic afrobeatz culture, “Trauma” is a cathartic afro house offering made for healing. Its soothing acoustic guitar licks and soft, sublime chords drift above a trotting tribal percussive backbone, while the smooth-operating vocalist, mohalizer, cures the soul with a refined, polished topline. The release follows their recent label outing “Patience,” which drew press coverage from Grauu, UFO Network, EDM Sessions, Find Your Sounds, Hype Machine, Skope Mag, DJ Culture Mag, Parkett, and Beat For Beat.
Based in Naples, Albert Breaker is an Italian producer who has positioned himself as a conduit for global house music, creating infectious grooves with Afro and Latin influences. Albert has enjoyed tastemaker support from Kevin McKay, Swanky Tunes, Ben Phillips, Timmy Trumpet, Blasterjaxx, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Joining him is Lagos-born mohalizer, a songwriter and vocalist known for his intoxicating blend of Afrobeatz, pop, R&B, and house music. He has built a solid rapport with Albert Breaker over the last year, initially linking up on their collab “Alive,” which has amassed more than 3.7 million streams to date, and has opened the floodgates for a string of collaborations together.
With “Trauma,” the natural pairing unites once again to highlight their palpable chemistry, merging heartfelt storytelling with emotive production.
