The genre-bending trance duo united with UK pop singer Jason Jones on their follow-up single for Dreamstate.
Cross-Atlantic production duo Alchimyst circle back to Dreamstate Records with their second vocal-led offering on the label this year, teaming with UK singer-songwriter Jason Jones for a psychedelic-laced crossover single titled “Falling in Love.”

Alchimyst is a Swiss-American duo widely known for their smooth synthesis of psychedelic, progressive, and vocal trance styles. “Falling in Love” sees them flexing their genre-blending muscles to the max, fusing authentic trance elements with an emotional songwriting dynamic. Their success is in no small part due to the strength of their collaboration with pop specialist Jason Jones, who features front and center.
“Falling In Love” harnesses their signature psychedelic-progressive sensibilities nestled within a true love anthem. Building its foundation around Jason Jones’ polished and emotional vocal delivery, the single tugs on the heartstrings with its tender piano chords and elevating synth stabs. Alchimyst gradually takes the tension to its boiling point until the piece eventually erupts into striding basslines, euphoric arps, and cascading mutations of Jones’ core vocal refrain.
They assert that the creative spark behind their latest creation was inspired by shared experiences, channeling the familiar magic of meeting a special someone amongst the euphoric energy felt on the dancefloor.
Shedding light on the meaning of their latest single, Alchimyst shares: “Have you ever fallen in love with someone you met at a rave or festival? It’s that feeling of wanting to be with that person, for every minute of every day… This is how ‘Falling in Love’ came to be. It’s inspired by times of thinking back upon those special moments of innocence, without a worry in the world, other than when you’ll get to meet that special someone again.”
Alchimyst are still riding high on the success of their recent Dreamstate Records release “Take Me There,” issued alongside production and vocal duo Supernature, and was conceived in the wake of their appearance at the annual Dreamstate SoCal gathering last year, which marked their third time performing at the renowned all-trance festival. The track drew radio support from Judge Jules on his ‘Global Warmup’ show, in addition to Marcell Stone and Henry Moe on their respective ‘Techprog Session’ and ‘Lost Horizon’ radio shows, which carries on from their regular tastemaker support from the likes of Armin van Buuren. Now, enlisting the help of Jason Jones—a semi-finalist from the hit program ‘The Voice UK’ in 2017—Alchimyst continue to explore the limits of where they can take their signature trance sound to next.
