Amelie Lens is set to release the next instalment of her EXHALE compilation series.The Belgian techno star has enlisted artists including Blondex, GALLØ, AISHA, Ellen Trenn, VE/RA and Lawyn for the 13-track release, which champions diverse and forward-thinking sounds from across the techno spectrum. Landing tomorrow (28th November), the release marks the label’s 5th anniversary and the seventh entry in its landmark compilation series, following March 2025’s ‘EXHALE VA006’.
Lens sets the tone with a techno scorcher of her own. ‘Activate’ is built on acidic synth lines that coil and twist, strobing hi-hats and ghostly vocal fragments.
Lens’ EXHALE brand was founded during her 2017 residency at Belgium’s Labyrinth Club, and has since evolved into a major events arm and label, as well as hosting festival stages at the likes of Tomorrowland, Awakenings and Amsterdam Dance Event. The first solo release on the label came in 2023 from French producer TRYM.
The new compilation arrives off the back of Lens’ recent single ‘Young Forever’, and her two-track ‘Serenity’ EP. It also caps off a year that has seen her close Tomorrowland’s main stage and debut her new ‘Aura’ live show and party concept.
