Amidy is touching down on the Lost In Dreams imprint with his first standalone single on the label, “Ever Known,” an engrossing melodic bass anthem that locks into his singular cinematic style.

Following his debut appearance on the imprint by way of his sage reimagining of Haywyre’s “Wisdom” single, the L.A-based producer circles back around to deliver his own full-fledged original to the ever-growing catalog. Anchored to his unmistakable vocal dexterity and emotionally charged production chops, his latest creation is embedded in the thought of finding safety in a love so deep it feels more secure than having both feet planted above bedrock.
Gently rising from the horizon with the warm glow of lilting guitar melodies, “Ever Known” sets itself in motion with Amidy’s distinctive crooning. Baring his soul bit by vulnerable bit, his knack for storytelling shines through as his voice climbs up the register into a mellifluous falsetto. His words quickly start to catch air on a gust of swelling drum lines and single string strums, as he clings onto the only person in life who makes him seem whole. The repeated refrains “I’m holding on to the only thing that I have ever known” and “You’re the only reason I don’t feel alone” cut deep, reinforced through soaring synths that slip into the symphonic bliss rounding out the track’s second half.
“I think ‘Ever Known’ shows a unique side of me and I am excited for it,” says Amidy. “Overall, I’m really proud of how it turned out and can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”
Hailing from Los Angeles, Nolan Atkins is a rare breed within the dance music sphere. With vast experience toggling between the role of DJ, producer, singer, songwriter, and sound engineer, the multi-talented artist has made it so the only limits standing in his way are self-imposed. This creative freedom has worked wonders for the all-around phenom, having walked away from his previous life as the frontman for an alternative rock band. His talents also translate generously over in the collaborative sense, as demonstrated by his massive release “Shadows” alongside Seven Lions and Wooli, as well as repeat runs with William Black on “Daydreamer” and “Closer Than You.” It’s no mystery as to why his music has struck a chord with heavy-hitting names from the likes of Excision, Nurko, Trivecta, HALIENE, ARMNHMR, and more. He was recently touted as an ‘Artist To Watch in 2022’ by Dancing Astronaut, and his first release of the year is certainly backing up that claim to the fullest.
