Repopulate Mars regular Andre Salmon returns to the label once again with three quirky cuts as he closes January with his ‘Melting Head’ EP. This time, Andre invites a host of talent to accompany him on this voyage including Detroit’s RN ISMO and Gettoblaster, Costa Rico’s Le Roi Carmona, Italian producer Figio’s, and the vocals of Cami Jones.
The Tetris like ‘Melting Head’ kicks off the EP as the hooky vocals of Cami Jones glitch over a rumbling bassline strewn with computer samples before the pulsating ‘Grab That’ throws in a rubbery bass, playful cowbells and now, more alluring vocals from Cami Jones. To close, ‘Fat Line’ boasts frolicking keys, assertive kicks and distorted samples as a marching finale to the EP.
