Armin van Buuren and KI/KI Unveil Debut Collaboration: ‘Put Your Bassline’

This single serves as the official anthem of AMF and embodies the driving force behind AMF’s II=I concept, uniting Armin van Buuren’s iconic trance energy with KI/KI’s cutting-edge underground sound for an unforgettable mainstage experience.

AMF has announced its official anthem for 2025: ‘Put Your Bassline’, a debut collaboration between Armin van Buuren and KI/KI. The track will be released on October 24, one day before the pair’s back-to-back performance at AMF, in collaboration with 750 Years of Amsterdam in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. ‘Put Your Bassline’ is the first official AMF anthem co-produced by two headliners. The track combines Armin van Buuren’s trance influences with KI/KI’s underground sound, reflecting the contrast that defines this year’s II=I performance. Together, the two artists explore the connection between their different musical backgrounds and approaches to electronic music. Their first B2B took place two years ago during ADE, and this year they’re reuniting for the II=I concept, with their new track serving as the official anthem.

“KI/KI and I come from different styles, but we share a passion for energy and progression” says Armin van Buuren. “Put Your Bassline captures that balance of something driving and direct, but with both our identities in it.”

KI/KI adds: “We wanted to make something that represents both of us without compromise. It’s a straightforward club track built for the dancefloor and for this special AMF moment.”

The collaboration follows the announcement of AMF’s II=I concept returning for ADE 2025. Armin van Buuren and KI/KI will perform together in a back-to-back set for the first time on the AMF mainstage in front of 40.000 people. Their set will be part of a lineup that includes Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, John Summit, KI/KI, Miss Monique, MORTEN, Oliver Heldens, Sara Landry, and Sub Zero Project, with a pre-show performance by AfroSalto. ‘Put Your Bassline’ by Armin van Buuren and KI/KI, a collaboration with slash, KI/KI’s label, will be released on October 24th, on Armada Music across all streaming platforms.

About Armin van Buuren

It takes little to recognize that Armin van Buuren is one of electronic music’s biggest artists. His life-long dedication to the scene — as a pioneer of trance music, inspiring peers across genres to embrace the sound — has earned him a Grammy nomination for ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ (feat. Trevor Guthrie) and critical acclaim for global hit singles such as ‘In And Out Of Love’, ‘Blah Blah Blah’, ‘Great Spirit’, ‘Leave A Little Love’ and ‘On & On’.

As a performer, the Dutchman holds the record of five #1s and twenty-three consecutive top 5 spots in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs poll, evidenced by his countless headline shows at leading festivals such as Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, Untold Festival and Tomorrowland, and residencies at Ushuaïa (Ibiza) and in Las Vegas. He also recently launched two new live show concepts: ‘Pillars of Creation’ in the desert dunes of Ras Al Khaimah, and the high-tech, multi-sensory ‘THE ORB’ world tour with shows in Lithuania, Turkey and more.

His two-hour radio show, A State of Trance, is broadcast weekly from his own radio studio in Armada Music’s headquarters in Amsterdam to over 44 million listeners in more than 80 countries, as well as online via audio and video livestream on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. Having exceeded 1200 weekly episodes since its launch in 2001, A State of Trance has grown from a small radio show into a complete dance music brand with stages and events across the globe, now calling Rotterdam its home for all national events to sustain its global significance and continuous growth. Full-scale A State of Trance events have been hosted across the globe, from London to Mexico.

Armin van Buuren has launched several ‘Armin Only’ world tours throughout the years. This includes album-based tours such as ‘Imagine’ in 2008, ‘Mirage’ in 2010, ‘Intense’ in 2013, ‘Embrace’ in 2016 and ‘The Best Of Armin Only’ in 2017, selling out major venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Amsterdam ArenA. In June 2022, Armin van Buuren played his most personal and intimate live shows yet through four sold-out shows in the Ziggo Dome: ‘This Is Me – Feel Again’.

In addition to all of this, Armin van Buuren is the co-founder of Armada Music, the biggest independent dance music label in the world. The Amsterdam-, New York- and London-based record label was founded together with Maykel Piron and David Lewis in 2003 and manages an ever-growing catalog of over 50,000 track, built up over twenty-plus years of specialized dance music exploitation.

On December 16, 2019, Armin van Buuren joined forces with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to motivate millions of people to join the movement and fight against plastic pollution. As a Global Oceans Ambassador, Armin contributes to the worldwide #BeatPlastic campaign: www.arminvanbuuren.com/beatplastic.

To date, Armin has nine full-length artist albums to his name: ‘76’ (2003), ‘Shivers’ (2005), ‘Imagine’ (2008), ‘Mirage’ (2010), ‘Intense’ (2013), ‘Embrace’ (2015), ‘Balance’ (2019), ‘Feel Again’ (2023) and ‘Breathe’ (2025).

About KI/KI

From Amsterdam’s fertile underground to techno temples around the world, KI/KI is at the forefront of a new rave resurrection. Shaped by the time-tried fundamentals of trance, acid and techno, she subtly constructs her own signature: a sound realm that’s fast but dreamlike, futuristic but nostalgic, severe but – at all times – euphoric.

Starting out as a resident DJ at queer stronghold Spielraum back in 2018, KI/KI has rapidly evolved into a nightlife bastion of her own. In the past years she’s made a mark with unforgettable all-nighters, curating her own ‘KI/KI invites’ series, upsurging Boiler Room views, and striking dance floors from Berghain to Bassiani, from Awakenings to Pitch Music & Arts.

As an artist, collaboration and community are essential to KI/KI’s craft. While festival stages and warehouses have become her second home, her heart still beats the loudest for the dark and intimate fringes of nightlife. Beyond music, this artistry bleeds into all forms of collaboration; resulting in, among others, her ‘not for sleeping’ project with Amsterdam fashion collective The New Originals.

In 2022, KI/KI established the label slash: a platform that unites the buried treasures of her musical heroes, the work of like-minded emerging producers and – not to forget – her own releases. With production taking up a bigger and bigger role in her artistry, KI/KI revealed her first live show in the summer of ’22 as the official closing of Draaimolen Festival.

Currently on the verge of releasing multiple solo tracks and soon launching her ‘5HRS OF ACID’ hybrid club concept, the storm that’s KI/KI is just picking up.
