Armin van Buuren and KI/KI joined forces for a very special b2b set in Amsterdam last month. The footage was recorded live during AMF at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The show is one of the biggest to take place during the annual Amsterdam Dance Event programme.
“My crazy B2B with @ki.slash.ki is now live on YouTube Had so much fun doing this B2B at @amffestival,” wrote Armin in the social media post announcing the set’s release.
“Such an epic moment so happy we could share this together,” KI/KI replied.
The set was preceded by the trance veteran and next-gen star’s debut collaborative track, ‘Put Your Bassline’, which landed the week before. The track, a combination of van Buuren’s trademark trance tropes with KI/KI’s techno influence, revives AMF’s II=I concept, first introduced in 2017 with Hardwell and van Buuren.
“KI/KI and I come from different styles, but we share a passion for energy and progression,” said van Buuren on its release. “’Put Your Bassline’ captures that balance of something driving and direct, but with both our identities in it.”
KI/KI added: “We wanted to make something that represents both of us without compromise. It’s a straightforward club track built for the dancefloor and for this special AMF moment.”
