Spearheading new forms of expression in Latin America, Argentinian multidisciplinary laboratory Artlab announces Part 3 of its 10th Anniversary celebrations. Bridging club culture with artistic experimentation, the vinyl series has already hosted Random Factor, Voigtmann, Mateo Dufour, and Janeret & Miroloja. Releasing on 27th November, the third instalment aligns with their cross-disciplinary vision of contemporary house music, showcasing Cosenza & Jorge Savoretti, Giuliano Lomonte, Cristi Cons, MissLupe, and Julian Tenembaum across the five-track VA.
The VA opens with ‘Way Back’, a joint cut with Cosenza and Savor Music boss Jorge Savoretti, pairing spacey, cosmic stabs with a sizzling bassline and smooth vocal work. Up next, Berlin regular Giuliano Lomonte offers up a lush, acid-licked deep house affair with his ‘New Dimension’. On the flip, Romanian favourite Cristi Cons hones in on trippy motifs with ‘Meaning Of Live’, adding neon synth details and a superb bassline to keep things moving. ‘El Amor es mi Biografía’ sees Buenos Aires’ MissLupe explore life’s complexities with love through sensual spoken word over a punchy groove, before unfolding into a blissful outro. Lastly, Julian Tenembaum’s ‘Forms’ captures Artlab’s forward-thinking approach, with a gorgeous slice of synth-led electronica bringing the VA to a fitting climax.
