Boasting a resume that includes official remixes of What So Not, RL Grime, UZ, Canblaster, and Wax Motif, notable releases on tastemaker labels including Mad Decent, Fools Gold, OWSLA, Dim Mak, Psycho Disco!, BNR Trax, and his own label Main Course, which he co-founded w/ Bot (1/2 of legendary Crookers) and Neoteric, LA DJ / producer Astronomar remains one of the pinnacles of the modern electronic music community. Today, Astronomar is making his return to Atlanta’s premiere purveyor of underground House music, Psycho Disco! Records, with a brand new EP titled ‘That Thing.’
Compiled of two-brand new singles, ‘That Thing‘ kicks off with the EP’s title track- a slow burning five-minute composition whose hypnotic core melody creeps along throwing the listener into a trance like state. Next up on “Celebrate,” Astronomar does just that on the 90s House reminiscent single whose funky drum patterns and dance floor geared rhythm leave us with the perfect after glow.
