Brazil’s Balanka makes his return to OMRI.’s (pronounced OMRI dot) Collecting Dots Records with his latest two-tracker ‘Command Your Soul’, following up on his debut appearance on the label with his ‘Shut Up’ EP back in September 2025. The EP continues his run on the imprint with two cuts built around tension, groove, and stripped-back club function, reinforcing his place within the label’s forward-facing and DJ-focused direction.
“Both tracks on this Collecting Dots release are aimed at the late-night hours. ‘Command Your Soul’ is a bit more hypnotic and trippy, with an airy female vocal sitting over the groove. ‘That Look’ is more straight for the floor, with a rolling bassline, playful energy, and the kind of tension you get when the room is locked in.” – Balanka.
With releases via Repopulate Mars, Shout Label, Take Notes, and more, Balanka brings a sound rooted in contrast back to the label: minimal yet expressive, dark yet impactful, and anchored by a strong identity. With support from names including Michael Bibi, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Vintage Culture, and Mau P, his productions have found their way into rotation for some of the biggest names around, and he looks to continue that again here with another punchy two-tracker.
