Bass Phenom SKYLER Unveils Emotive Trap Single “Haunt You,” From Upcoming EP on Monstercat

April 26th, 2023 — Trap prodigy SKYLER returns to Monstercat Uncaged today with “Haunt You,” the third single from her upcoming EP due this summer. Honing in on SKYLER’s newfound heavy production side, the record showcases the evolution of her trap roots. “Haunt You” takes inspiration from haunting memories of a past relationship, while the euphoric trap drops and cinematic bass stylings represent the process of moving on and letting go. SKYLER shows no boundaries when it comes to her productions, and her anticipated EP will further prove her authenticity and matured techniques that she will soon take to the stage.

SKYLER shares, This record has a lot of call and response play within the dialogue and melodic composition. It’s supposed to insinuate a power struggle that stems from internal conflict. This could be best referenced to the saying, “to love and to let go.” When you love something, but you know you need to let it go, an inner turmoil sparks that can be all consuming, whether that be a person, place, or thing that triggers you to reflect back at the distant memories that metaphorically “‘Haunt You.’”

Evolving from an open-format DJ to now full-time producer, SKYLER has sharpened her artistry and evolved her future trap stylings since rebranding from her previous moniker, Skyler Madison. She quickly made a name for herself with an official remix for Flux Pavillion, and support from electronic tastemakers such as SLANDER, Krewella, and more. She’s taken her energetic stage presence to venues and festivals across the globe including Temple Nightclub in San Francisco, to Tomorrowland in Belgium. Her upcoming EP will bring special announcements to follow.

SKYLER Bio

Based out of Los Angeles, California, SKYLER has immersed herself in multiple facets of the music industry for the past decade. With years of experience as a headlining open-format DJ, she decided to take her passion to the next level by releasing her own fine-tuned production arsenal. Inspired by an array of different genres, SKYLER’s diverse sound transcends beyond the typical norms of bass-driven music. She has created her own wave which she feels can be best described as “Future Trap.”

Her unique blend of euphoric and dreamy bass with in-your-face trap infused sounds caught the attention of many. She released her debut EP ‘Iridescent’ on Circus Records in 2021 and quickly followed up with a debut single on Monstercat. She entered the year 2022 in full force by releasing an official remix of “Sink Your Teeth In” by Flux Pavilion and Drowsy. In addition, she announced her first breakout festival appearance at Tomorrowland in Belgium later in the year. 

Since her decision to pursue music full-time and to focus on production, she’s garnered an immense amount of support from bass artists such as Flux Pavilion, Krewella, NITTI, and more. SKYLER works hard at continuously evolving her sound. She looks forward to sharing more music and taking you all on her creative journey!
