Opening the project in cinematic fashion comes “My Way Out”. The collaboration sees genre-defying producer Cyazon uniting with singer/songwriter Gracie Van Brunt for a captivating drum and bass ballad. The engrossing soundscape offers the perfect foundation for the troubled yet alluring vocal performance. Epic atmospherics intertwine with moody synth-wave elements that add fuel to the fire. As Gracie Van Brunt’s topline reaches a crescendo, the track erupts into an energetic DnB drop powered by heavy basslines and driving drums. Moving between dancefloor-ready and emotive,  “My Way Out” strikes a riveting balance.

Cyazon breaks down the direction for the track, saying, “For ‘My Way Out,’ I wanted a cinematic, atmospheric, synthwave-inspired type of sound, while also having a heavy bassline riff in the drops.”

Sharing her excitement around the release, Gracie Van Brunt says, “It has been a huge dream of mine to have a release on Bassrush and I am so grateful to the team for believing in this record enough to put it on their compilation!”

Blending their monikers and styles, Capochino and Sharlitz Web concoct the beastly “Capoz Web.” A hypnotic melody sets the stage while tension-building vocals whisper below. Cheeky vocal samples preface the drops, offering a fun yet haunting introduction to the madness that ensues. Dizzying synths flutter amongst experimental basslines that shapeshift like shadows beneath a full moon. The growling low-end drives the track forward as rich flourishes saunter in and out, adding to the depth and mystique. The latter half resets before returning even more venomous and distorted in all the right ways.

“This song is the perfect blend of both of our sounds. It’s like if a spider drank a tiny cappuccino,” says Capochino, who offers a fun breakdown of the collab.

Canadian dubstep sensei Jiqui treats listeners to some “West Coast sh*t” on the gritty “Riders.” Bouncy bubbling basslines serve as the backbone, as the producer slowly sprinkles in layer upon layer of grit. The drops are metallic, mean, and disgustingly gritty. Cutting-edge sound design is on full display as brain-bending textures wrap around crisp percussion and alien-like synths. Spine-tingling and headknocking, Jiqui delivers the one-of-a-kind style that only he is capable of.

“6am” is a 140-anthem primed for dark and dirty after-hours. Virginia-based producer rSUN serves up a menacing deep dubstep cut that’s built as a DJ weapon. Centered around hypnotic female vocals, the track invites listeners to keep partying till six in the morning. The pulsing basslines are nearly trance-inducing, but with enough low-end to rattle the soul. Building and releasing tension with a masterful command, “6am” is a satisfying speaker-shaker primed for dancefloor domination.

rSUN confirms his intention for the release, saying, “I made this song specifically to bring the energy to my sets; something with a simple drop and a catchy vocal that would be a fun one to play out.”

Leading with brute force, “Outnumbered” sees deadgirl and PYKE colliding on a warpath. Dystopian film samples conjure vivid imagery of the human race on the brink of extinction while the track scores the takeover. Ominous tones lurk under stomping kicks, murderous leads, and blood-fueled basslines. The waves of destruction only relent to amp up the fear more before returning with lethal force, decimating any opposition.

“deadgirl and I just wanted to make a crazy track for people. Something for them to get angry to,” PYKE explains.

Thred takes listeners for a mind-melting trip with “SAM.” The opening synths create a sense of intrigue that’s quickly bent and twisted, as distorted vocals and a warning low-end builds into a descent into chaos. The first drop is a trippy exploration of melody shifting that transforms over sharp percussion and fierce lower frequencies. Just when you think it can’t get any wilder, Thred somehow finds a way to get even more experimental in the second half. Strap yourself in for “SAM” because it’s unlike anything out there.

Thred opens up about the motivation behind the cut, stating, “I made this track as a playful response to those who criticize certain genres of music and to flip negativity into something fun and empowering. It’s a reminder that music is all about personal connection and creativity, no matter what others say.”

Taking listeners to the edge of the unknown comes MYRIAS’ “Mind Scanner.” The heavy-hitting anthem blurs boundaries between dubstep, experimental bass, and trap. The sound design is filthy, and the low-end is heavy, but the track still packs an undeniable bounce. Blistering basslines drive it forward while sci-fi vocals are interspersed with gun clicks and ominous tones. “Mind Scanner” is a futuristic barrage of bass that buries deep into the collective consciousness.

MYRIAS offers listeners a taste of what to expect with the succinct line: “This song embodies everything that MYRIAS is about, albeit with a heavy twist.”

London-based DJYOUTH explodes onto the compilation with the roaring “Keep Me Grounded.” Processed vocals give the track a nostalgic rave feel while building synths usher in the DnB blast. Morphing between classic drum and bass grooves and blistering bass switch-ups, DJYOUTH offers an inventive take on the iconic sound. The track is assured to keep listeners on their toes in more ways than one, while the topline will be lingering in their thoughts all night long.

Writing with an intention and pulling from her recent relocation, DJYOUTH explains how the track came to life: “I wrote this song imagining it being played at a festival this summer. I moved from Japan to England in May of this year and was very shocked by the many cultural differences in music there. I made this song around what I felt at the time, incorporating elements of the UK, but with an American drum & bass feel.”

Erie undertones and uneasy notes usher listeners over to the sound of “REVENGE.” Florida-based dubstep destroyer SLOTH unloads a war-ready assault with the fittingly titled sonic vengeance. With a fully stocked war chest, the track unloads devastating drums, merciless bass, killer vocals, and a healthy helping of artillery of all sorts. “REVENGE” is a skull-splitting ripper that serves as a sonic retaliation and cathartic release from its creator.

Expanding on the inspiration for the track and his outlook, SLOTH offers the following: “Everything happens for a reason, don’t give up.”

Bringing the project to a fierce close comes the relentless “Yoked.” Born from the minds of Combine and WAVHEART, the track is a raucous deep dubstep monster. Sirens set the tone as stressy synths further add to the alarming atmosphere. Skin-crawling sound design allows for an alien-like texture that feeds into the combustive drops, which are punctuated by a barrage of laser-like synths, chest-pounding bass, and snappy drum programming. Despite the simplicity of the break, it only serves to build further tension before unleashing the final onslaught of pure devastation to cap things off with pure, unstoppable power.

‘The Prophecy: Volume 11’ is a testament to Bassrush Records’ ability to continually stay at the precipice of bass music, showcasing a varied roster of talent and sounds that continue to push the envelope.
