The Portuguese producer turns her Lisbon event series into a label, opening its catalogue with an emotionally charged new single.
Portuguese DJ/producer BIIA has hit us with her new single “Die For Youth” to mark the launch of DYSTONIA, a label growing out of her Lisbon event series.
BIIA has been climbing quickly since her 2023 debut EP, Letters From Hell, with records for Teletech, Solamente and Taapion carrying her far beyond Portugal’s club circuit.
“Die For Youth” is her second original tune of 2026, following “HYSTERIC” on Tomorrowland Music. She also took on Pilo’s track “Girls Rule The World” for ONES AND ZEROS, turning in an elastic, neon-lit remix. Built around a pensive, minor key synth progression, a spell-like vocal refrain and hammering drums, “Die For Youth” brings a more emotional pull to her sound and opens a new chapter under her own banner.
DYSTONIA existed before the label. BIIA first used the name for a Lisbon event series that put DJs, photographers, fashion designers and other emerging creatives in the same room. Now it has a record arm, with BIIA setting the agenda. “Die For Youth” gets the catalogue moving.
She has barely stood still this summer, hitting Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Sziget Festival and Hï Ibiza, plus a high-octane B2B with Patrick Mason at Neopop Festival. The DYSTONIA launch puts a bow on the season – and shows why BIIA is fast becoming one of techno’s most electric performers.
