There is no doubt that Stoked is the lynchpin of India’s burgeoning techno movement. Fuelled by an unbridled passion for his art, he has been key to developing the scene in his home country and pioneering the “Asian techno sound”. As the brains behind BITONAL – one of the most respected and well known touring agencies, and promoter in India who have been integral when it comes to bringing international talent to India including Pan-Pot, GHEIST, Will Clarke, Teenage Mutants, Balthazar and Jackrock.
Stoked strategically blurs the lines of driving and progressive techno patterns with ‘SIRENS’ to construct a blistering hybrid like melody. A tightly woven bass signals the off before a mystifying energy sweeps through the mid-section accompanied by beguiling vocals from Chitralekha Sen of deity like beauty. The track then reverts back to the cool, unrelenting thud that we hear at its inception before swooning to a close.
Where Stoked employs cultural influences on the EP’s title track, he opts for a more Western, Detroit like vocal sample on ‘909’. Again, the beat is subtly crafted with just enough bass, drum and ethereal sound design to appease fans of techno from across the spectrum. The vocal sample ominously lurks beneath the track’s core sporadically asserting itself in patches before fading out over and over again amidst chiming synths and blunt, stubborn basslines.

About Stoked
Already a don in the Indian music scene, Stoked now follows the path of many of the world’s greats, combining production, DJing and curation to inject his flavour into the global Techno movement. Headlining Sea You Festival this summer alongside Adam Beyer & Pan-Pot, having already played the festival in past years. Notably, Stoked is the first Indian artist to headline Sonne Monde Sterne & Grune Sonne in Germany, as well as the iconic Rave the Planet (ex Love Parade).
Beyond his DJ performances, Stoked is the driving force behind Bitonal, a record label and touring agency that features artists such as Pan-Pot, Gheist, Teenage Mutants, Balthazar & Jackrock, and Rafael Cerato. He is also responsible for programming at super clubs Salud and Diaz in Goa.
His debut UK performance in June for the Kenja Records showcase (Ronnie Spiteri’s imprint) comes ahead of his release for the label (featuring a remix by Alan Fitzpatrick) later this year. His collaboration ‘’Climax’’ with Teenage Mutants has been lifting dance floors all over the world for months & dominated the Beatport Techno Top 10 chart for 3 weeks straight. With several projects set for the fall, Stoked is poised to strengthen his reputation as India’s premier Techno export into 2025 and beyond.
