Getting his start in the industry as choreographer to Missy Elliot, and most recently choreographed the hit single Rake It Up, for Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj, Bobby Newberry has always had a passion for performing and he’s been expanding his talents with vocals and songwriting since 2014. Continuing his success, Newberry returns with a new single and video “Up“. The track was written by Bobby himself, and video is directed by Noel Maitland.
BobbyNewberry’s creative genius as a choreographer has led to an outstanding list of credits spanning live/stage, TV and music videos including the Pussycat Dolls, Eminem, Girlicious, Jessie & the Toyboys, Porcelain Black, Lil’ Wayne, Taylor Dayne, Eva Longoria for Bebe, Missy Elliott, Jody Watley, DANITY KANE, DUMBLONDE, Aaron Kwok and television shows, X Factor, Dancing with the Stars, Conan O’Brien, David Letterman and America’s Got Talent.
Although Newberry’s career first began with incredible breaks in choreography including working on The Pussycat Dolls music video for “When I Grow Up” which won Best Dance Video at the 2008 VMAs, he has always considered himself an artist/singer song writer. He is currently focused on the vocal aspect of his talents as well as creating music for other artists which he notes as one of his biggest passions. Newberry has begun collaborating with a group of amazing producers in Los Angeles, including the famed Damon Sharpe, whose clientele include Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Minogue. BobbyNewberry also opened up for DANITY KANE on their “NO FILTER” tour.
