Bonafique return to Get Physical Music with the “Miguel EP”, a two-track release that brings their blend of deep grooves, Indie Dance aesthetics and disco-inspired production back to the label. Following their previous Get Physical releases “Monologue” and “WHAT!”, the duo continue to develop a sound that balances underground sensibility with direct dancefloor appeal.
The title track “Miguel” unfolds through classic drum machine percussion, a subtle but infectious bassline and a dark pitched-down male vocal. Its arrangement remains understated and focused, allowing the groove and vocal character to build an atmosphere that is mysterious, warm and effortlessly functional in the club.
On the second track, “Trippo”, Bonafique join forces with Tel Aviv producer KADI. The collaboration leans into a more tribal interpretation of the duo’s sound, built around a timeless bassline, hypnotic percussion and a captivating female vocal. Subtle flamenco-inspired details add warmth and musical depth while preserving the record’s driving, psychedelic energy.
