French groove-maker Boogie Vice lands on Defected’s underground arm DFTD with ‘2AM’, featuring vocals from South Africa’s Luukhanyo.
A young talent on the rise now based in Cape Town, Boogie Vice’s dancefloor-first productions, including his fresh EP Decadisco with N-You-Up, have already earned him support from the biggest names on the modern scene like Jamie Jones, Solomun and ANOTR.
For his DFTD debut, he enlists the help of genre-blending rapper and singer Luukhanyo, an artist who has just celebrated the release of debut album LUCKY UU at the end of 2025.
‘2AM’ shows an artist with a defined, retro-inspired sonic bursting with youthful energy; Luukhanyo’s hypnotic flows is supported by a deep pulsating rhythms and bright synth organ hooks, creating a club-ready belter ready to make crowds move.
