Welcoming new names in Aiwaska & Thomas Gandey, Talal Hakim, and Dema, plus the return of LORRAINNE alongside Jobbo, the four-track package will be released via the label on 14th June 2024.
Founded in 2013, Booka Shade’s Blaufield Music imprint celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2023 in parallel with the iconic duo’s 20th year as an act, proving a must-visit for fans as they unveiled a selection of fresh and reworked material across the year. Much more than a home for their own productions, the label’s ongoing ‘FOURTUNES’ series has seen the pair spotlighting exciting, emerging names, acting as an introduction to artists such as 8Kays, whose single ‘Rainbows’ on ‘FOURTUNES 1’ launched her rapid ascent, while Casper Cole’s ‘Fader’ on ‘FOURTUNES 2’ featured as a stand-out hit in 2020. Welcoming five label debuts from mysterious talent Aiwaska, British DJ/producer and vocalist Thomas Gandey, London-based talent Talal Hakim, Milan’s Dema, and new name Jobbo, plus a quick return to the label for LORRAINNE following her recent remix of the band’s single ‘Outlandos’, the package lands in the heart of summer to deliver four fresh productions shaped for the dancefloor and beyond.
LORRAINNE and Jobbo’s ‘Reset’ is a twisting and tumbling trip through metallic tones and sweeping melodies, while Aiwaska and Thomas Gandey’s ‘Lights On’ brings shuffling percussion, bumping basslines, and wobbly acid beneath Gandey’s vocals. Next, Talal Hakim crafts an expansive journey through light textures and swirling leads with ‘Stories’ before Dema’s vibrant and synth-laden ‘Everything You Need’ closes the show with abundant, vibrant energy.
