Brazilian superduo Dubdogz (5,1M monthly listeners) join forces with the Italian Jude & Frank (510k monthly listeners) for the groovy Tribal Tech House masterpiece “ININNA TORA”.
The twins Lucas and Marcos, from Dubdogz, are living a very special moment. They have been touring the world, just announced their new label party “Dogz Parade” and are confirmed in huge festivals such as Tomorrowland. Meanwhile, Jude & Frank has become one of the most important projects in the international Latin House and Tech House scene.
Mashing various African vocals and mixing sonorities of different genres such as Tech House and Afro House, the two are set to deliver a fascinating musical journey.
The lyrics are a mix of languages and dialects, making the interpretation somewhat challenging. The first thing that stands out is the repetition of the phrase “toratoratora” which seems to serve as a chant or mantra. The second half of the verse appears to be Swahili, and could translate to “stand up and take courage”. This suggests that the tora mentioned in the first part of the verse may be a symbol of strength or energy that the singer is trying to channel.
Most people will never understand the lyrics, but everybody can feel the energy of this unique tune.
