Rod Brito delivers a sizzling remake of ‘Mas Que Nada’ on his own Red Room label — a red-hot house cut laced with supple piano chords and soaring vocals that bring a vibrant Latin flair. Sleek, rolling drums drive the groove, while lush backing chants and flaring vocal lines lift the track into pure party territory — whether under twinkling stars or blazing sun.
A fixture of the electronic music scene since the ’90s, Red Room founder Rod Brito has performed at iconic festivals like Burning Man and Piknic Électronik, and collaborated with a wide range of artists. His sound spans melodic, progressive, and big room styles, with releases on labels such as Mobilee, Ritter Butzke, and Super Feet. With this release, he puts a fresh spin on one of Brazil’s most iconic songs — originally recorded in 1963 by Jorge Ben, later popularised by a cult Nike ad, and now reimagined for the dancefloor.
Rod Brito’s Mas Que Nada arrives via Red Room 20th June 2025.
