Brooklyn-based imprint toucan sounds drops a remix compilation celebrating Chicago-born vocalist Brandon Markell Holmes’s ‘Try’ album, releasing 15th May 2026 and bringing together a diverse group of producers from across the house and electronic spectrum. The collection features reworks from Moon Boots, whose track launched as a single in April, Aroop Roy808 BEACHBad ColoursByron The Aquarius, and Dee Diggs, each offering their own interpretation of Holmes’ soulful catalogue.

Originally introduced on the label in July 2025, Holmes ‘Try’ album quickly resonated for its blend of expressive songwriting and rich, emotive vocals. This new compilation reimagines those originals through a club-focused lens, drawing on a wide range of influences from deep house and disco to R&B and beyond.

Set for release on 12” and digital formats, the compilation captures the intersection of songcraft and dancefloor energy, positioning Brandon Markell Holmes’ work within a broader electronic context while maintaining the emotional core of the originals.

Brandon Markell Holmes’s ‘Try (Remix Album)’ arrives on toucan sounds 15th May 2026.
