‘Take My Breath Away’ started two years ago when Mo Falk orchestrated an instagram stunt to get Brooks’ attention. Posting various Instagram stories stating he would ‘’eat a shoe’’ if a collaboration between him and Brooks were to ever happen, loads of people latched onto the idea and shared the story with Brooks until it made its way into his DMs. Reaching out to Mo Falk unexpectedly, he liked the track the latter shared with him and decided to turn it into a collaboration. Eventually managing to get together for an in-person studio session they revised the whole track, creating a new song to fit the newly opening club and festival scene. The end result is an energetic festival banger with an innovative bassy twist.
Mo Falk: ‘’We were inspired by the original collab track made a few years ago, but also by Brooks’ new festival bangers and my own tracks such as chopper. We combined the more melodic Brooks style with the more bass and sound-design focused Mo Falk style to create a really festival suited EDM track. The inspiration came naturally in the studio and after the first hour we were already vibing to a hard bassline and core concept for the track.’’
