WATCHING YOU CRY EP Out April 8th via Ultra Records
Today, LA-based singer-songwriter/producer CADE shares “PROBLEM$,” the second single off his upcoming debut EP, WATCHING YOU CRY, due April 8, 2022 via Ultra Records.
Speaking on the EP, CADE wrote:
“Watching You Cry is a project I made while going through a pivotal growth period in my life. I was having highs & lows with a 3-year relationship that inevitably crashed and burned, and was working to find myself, who I am and what I want to be known for. I wanted the project to make everyone feel like they were in the passenger seat for all of the experiences I had during the time I was writing it. Living in Los Angeles and being tempted by the partying and sins that come with Hollywood, the feelings of love and loss, and everything in between. My producer, Camden Bench (Juice WRLD, K Camp etc) produced ‘Intro, Hung Up, 1942,’ ‘Watching You Cry,’ ‘Problem$,’ & ‘Hard To Let You Go / Voicemail.’ Trev Case (Young Thug, Ty Dolla Sign etc) produced ‘20 Missed Calls’ ft. Nate Traveller, and Diamond Pistols (bbno$, Rich Brian, DJ Snake etc.) produced ‘No Emotions.’ I wrote every song on the project. It’s all an accurate depiction of my life during this time. I hope that others are able to pull moments from my story & relate it to their own adolescent experiences of love, partying, self-discovery and everything in between.”
CADE Bio:
25-year-old singer-songwriter/producer CADE’s journey from his living room piano in Tampa, Florida, to where he currently resides in the hills of Los Angeles has shaped this young creative into the versatile, innovative musician that he is today.
In 2016, CADE made his debut with his EP Care, quickly turning the heads and garnering support from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Pia Mia, Chloe Grace Moretz, and more.
In 2017, CADE collaborated with DJ trio Cheat Codes which resulted in global smash “Pretty Girl – Cheat Codes X CADE Remix” featuring the voice of Maggie Lindemann. The remix currently resides at over 700 million streams on Spotify alone, earning him his first RIAA Platinum certifications in the US and the UK. CADE would then go on to make official remixes for Jennifer Lopez, James Arthur, Jason Derulo, and more.
CADE and his roommates in Cheat Codes combined forces to write & record their mega-collaboration “Stay With You,” which has garnered over 60 million streams worldwide on Spotify.
In 2019, CADE released his EP, WOLF BLUE, with Ultra Records. The EP includes collaborations from Panda-rapper Desiigner and Hazheart’s own, lil aaron.
