Manchester’s Calvin Clarke distils rolling, groove-led sonics into ‘Nightfall’, a two-track EP arriving via Crosstown Rebels’ sister imprint, Rebellion. Following performances at Music On, Paradise, The Warehouse Project and venues across Europe, while also building on a growing catalogue of releases via Whippin, Deeperfect, Hottrax and Bamboleo, Calvin’s arrival brings a natural progression in his career, a relationship he’ll further cement when handing over to label boss Damian Lazarus at UNVRS later this summer. Landing on 21st August, the EP marks a more personal and emotionally driven turn in his production as he continues to impress as one of contemporary house music’s familiar faces.
“This EP marks a special moment for me. Releasing on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion is something I’ve worked towards for a long time, so having music come out on a label run by someone who’s had such a huge influence on electronic music means a lot. Creatively, I wanted to focus more on emotion and musicality. The result feels like a more personal side of my production, and I’m really proud of where it ended up.” – Calvin Clarke.
‘Night Fall’ opens with tight, swinging percussion and a bopping bassline, layering in warm chords and lush vocal touches to hold the floor as the sun disappears. ‘You Got Me’ leans into a punchier, more restrained register as soft bongos glide over a brooding bassline, and pensive vocals that pull the listener in for a gloriously deep, understated close.
Calvin Clarke ‘Nightfall’ EP drops via Rebellion on 21st August 2026.
