We all know Calvin Harris has mad love for the ’80s, but Saint-Laurent has taken that sentiment to a whole new level with his latest remix. Reworking “This Is What You Came For” into a 1980’s power ballad, and flawlessly editing the existing music video to match, we’re hard pressed to believe this is still 2017.
The cover’s arrangement is an exquisite mix of era-specific piano, guitars, tempered static, and combined with tasteful analog video interference, this entire thing nothing short of a masterpiece. Rihanna herself even liked the upload on Instagram, so who knows where this might go.
