Los Angeles, CA – Friday, October 9 – Canadian producer borne returns to NIGHTMODE with his new single “Pressure,” a high-energy club track built to fill dancefloors with its steady, pounding beat.
Once considered a hidden gem from Montreal’s club scene, borne is a boundary-pushing producer whose bass music and UK garage roots are beginning to carve out a corner for him in the modern house genre. His exhilarating sound moves between heavy, bass-driven tracks and rolling, high-energy grooves.
“Pressure” opens with driving percussion and hypnotic chants before settling into its groove, as Afrobeats-inspired vocals bring a dancehall energy to the track. Catchy, gritty hooks steadily build tension until the song breaks open into a heavy, bass-driven drop, layered with mesmerizing melodies and rich synths that push it to an explosive finish.
“Pressure” follows two standout house singles on NIGHTMODE. His 2025 release “Go Again” pulled in more than 1.29M streams, landing on Apple Music’s New In Dance and danceXL, Spotify’s All New Dance and Bangers, and Amazon Music’s Fresh EDM. Earlier this year, “Can I” built on this momentum, gaining more than 500K streams and placements on Spotify’s Proto-, and Amazon Music’s Brand New Music Canada. Across both releases, borne has earned support from industry heavyweights Skrillex, Zedd, Knock2, Four Tet, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, Alison Wonderland, and Don Diablo, and his music has shown up in sets by Fred again.. and Chris Lake. He has upcoming gigs at Niteharts Festival (including the official afterparty), Nocturnal Valley, Brownies & Lemonade’s No Phone Zone pop-up, and Countdown NYE 2027.
“‘Pressure’ is a track where I was able to make something more fun and energetic in the breakdowns without taking away from the drop. The breaks perfectly set up the listener for a fun and enjoyable experience waiting for the drop without giving away to much so they still have a ‘shock’ factor when it hits” – borne
