Curitiba-based DJ/producer Carlos Sot arrives on Solid Grooves Raw after crossing paths with various corners of the label’s extended family over recent years. While his music has already earned strong support from both label founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA, his collaboration with fellow countryman Beltran, plus a release on Dennis Cruz’s label, have only further strengthened those links. Now, with those connections already established across the wider Solid Grooves circle, the Brazilian makes his debut appearance on the sister label with ‘Concentrate’.
‘Concentrate’ is built around a hooky lead vocal loop that keeps you locked, but the production underneath it refuses to play things completely straight. Heavy low-end gives the track its weight, while warped details pull the groove slightly out of shape, giving Sot plenty of room to put his own stamp on the Solid Grooves sound.
