Celebrating International Women’s Week, Toolroom proudly release ‘Funky Operator’ by female DJ and producer Nausica. As part of Toolroom’s programme for developing female talent ‘We Are Listening’, Toolroom hosted a women’s only writing camp at the start of the year, welcoming over 20 female producers and vocalists to our London studios to write and collaborate. Here’s one of our favourites from what was an incredible week… with more to follow!

Nausica is no stranger to the label. An established DJ and producer, who’s garnered DJ support from the likes of Carl Cox, Solomun, Jamie Jones, Claptone, Solardo, Mau P and of course Mark Knight. ‘Funky Operator’ is a funk fuelled Tech House roller with an infectious groove that’s guaranteed support over the forthcoming months.

About Nausica

Nausica started djing in 2010, from that year flying fast her dj careers.She is a revolutionary producer, her tracks that identified the hot and rythm sound and render Nausica style as unique and in continue evolution. Tech-House is the main genre added in a never end research of new sounds.

Nausica is an Italian “NYMPH” and topped the charts with the great support of the biggest international djs such as Mark Knight, John Summit, Solomun, Matthias Tanzmann, Loco Dice, Ilario Alicante, Marco Carola, Martin Ikin , Chris Lake , Jamie Jones , Chelina Manuhutu, Dino Lenny, Danny Howard, Roger Sanchez, Claptone, Nic Fanciulli, just to add a few. Toolroom, Toolroom Trax, Moon Harbour, Material, Baikonur, RIM, Axtone, CR2, Blanco Y Negro, Klaphouse, Jango, Happy Techno, are just some of the labels that believed in her great talent, and also the club that had them as guest are Ministry of Sound, Destino, Tantra and many, many more.
