Cera Khin Makes Her MUTATE Debut with New Single “I Don’t Date Humans”

Tunisian-born artist unleashes a high-energy techno record, marking her first release on Insomniac’s MUTATE imprint

Los Angeles, CA – Friday, August 21 – Eclectic producer Cera Khin debuts on Insomniac’s MUTATE label with her new single, “I Don’t Date Humans, the first offering from her forthcoming EP expected later this year. The cut is a techno track blending her signature goth undertones with raw dancefloor pressure.

Cera Khin is a Tunisia-born producer who has been immersed in club culture since relocating to Berlin in 2014. Steered by an empathic heart and a defiant ethos about adhering to genres, she’s a free-spirit known for creating transcendental experiences driven by hard techno, bounce, acid, hardgroove, schranz, gabber, psytrance, tek, and experimental sounds stemming from her mantra: “I play whatever the fuck I want.”

Driven by high-pitched, unearthly vocal hooks, “I Don’t Date Humans” decisively rules out human suitors. This otherworldly theme is anchored by bursts of breakbeat percussion, deep rolling sub-bass, intermittent acid licks, and punchy, hollow synth stabs.

Cera’s psychology background has made her an advocate for mental health in the music industry through her Technomentalhealth initiative to raise awareness around touring burnout. She spearheads her own labels LazyTapes and the recently launched CK777 Recordings, both independent underground music labels that release music via tapes and vinyls.

Her electrifying live sets have been captured on Boiler Room x Glitch Festival (521k views), HÖR BERLIN (603k views), Awakenings Festival 2024, and a full schranz set on the UNREAL stage at Monegros published recently. She has upcoming tour dates at the MUTATE showcase at EchostageEscape Halloween, Club Vinyl, Ministerium Club, Zorlu PSM Touche (Turkey), BlackWorks Italy at Sound Department, & more.

“I’m excited to release my first track on Insomniac’s Mutate label. I Don’t Hate Humans is a playful track inspired by a lifelong infatuation with vampires, developed from my love of movies such as Blade. I’ve been playing it at all my recent shows, such as Unreal at Monegros or Baum Festival, and it always goes so hard! I hope you love it as much as I do.” – Cera Khin

ABOUT MUTATE

Mutate emerged at the tail end of 2025 as a response to the accelerating extremes of modern rave culture. More than a live event series, it’s a byproduct of generations of seismic shifts from within the INSOMNIAC ecosystem, operating as a platform for high-intensity electronic music that thrives under pressure. It’s not defined by BPMs or rigid genre conventions. Instead, Mutate rapidly adapts to new strains of hard techno, schranz, hardgroove, hard house, hard bounce, and adjacent hybrids spawning from the shadows of warehouses and strobe-lit club floors. Mutate Records extends this philosophy into release form, serving as a breeding ground for producers reshaping the molecular structure of fast-tempo hard dance. With forward-thinking artists like Charlie Sparks and AZYR bubbling inside its nucleus, the newly launched imprint exists to accelerate progression, challenge convention, and keep the underground in a constant state of flux. Mutate is an agent of change, and it’s spreading past the point of containment.
