Cincinnati’s Chandler McFadden arrives on Adesso Music with a lean, unfussy two-tracker built for the early hours. Under CHAN, he turned out floor-focused material for Glasgow Underground, Insomniac Records, Wh0 Plays, and Myth of Nyx and took Insomniac’s Discovery Project prize in 2023, which put him on the Project GLOW main stage.
McFadden’s ‘Music Move Ya EP’ is the perfect fit for Junior Jack’s essential house imprint. Title track ‘Music Move Ya’ builds a looped vocal hook over crisp, driving percussion, applying contemporary tech-house production to a classic house arrangement. ’50 Cal’ ups the ante, pairing a pitched-up rap vocal with a fast Latin drum-rhythm and a rolling peak-time bassline, shifting the energy up a gear.
