Chicago’s hotly-tipped house music duo SLAMM rolls out their newest single, “Numb To The Flash,” an electro-tinged club cut arriving on October 14th via Insomniac’s offshoot imprint, IN / ROTATION.

Building a reputation for constructing a unique catalog of electro-leaning minimal tech club records, SLAMM has been on a tear within the house music circuit as of late. “Numb To The Flash” is an indie dance cut showcasing the galvanizing sound that has solidified their status as ones to watch. Syncopated beats and tightly-wound percussive textures carry the track’s rhythm, eventually giving way to a theatrical, circus-esque groove filled with wonky vocal chop leads, throbbing low-end, futuristic melodic flourishes, and buzzy saw wave synth leads. The track has already caught the attention of heavyweight tastemakers, including Mau P, who dropped the ID during his two-night headline show at LA Historic Park.
Touching on their signature sound, SLAMM says, “Electro adds a shot of adrenaline into house music, which is driving people crazy.”
Originally from Miami and now based in Chicago, SLAMM is led by two classically trained musicians, crate-diggers, and avid analog enthusiasts. Fusing electro sensibilities with raw minimal-tech elements, their high-caliber house productions have garnered tastemaker support from industry leaders, including Skrillex, Martin Garrix, Disco Lines, CHASEWEST, AYYBO, and Michael Bibi. On the live side, the duo is hot off recent festival plays at ARC Music Festival and Gold Rush, and they are preparing for upcoming shows at iii points.
