Christian Smith debuts on Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint with ‘Infatuate’

Christian Smith debuts on Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint with ‘Infatuate’.

Heading up the Tronic label, founded in 1995, Christian Smith has found himself at the forefront of house and techno for close to three decades. With releases on Drumcode, CocoonPlus8Bedrock and many more, as an A&R, his Tronic imprint has featured releases from ANNAPaco OsunaKaiserdisco, and Enrico Sangiuliano, amongst others. Arriving now on Patrick Topping’s seemingly unstoppable Trick, the Sweden-born, Germany-based DJ/producer brings together two chunky tracks featuring his own vocals, as well as an additional instrumental of the B side.

“I made these two tracks particularly for Trick. When producing ‘Infatuate’ I went back to the basics. A Phat analog groove, and my voice filtered up and down. I have had the chance to play this one out a few times and the reactions have been amazing. ‘Step By Step’ on the other hand was inspired by an old hi-nrg/disco track that I always loved. This one has loads of power, and is rave hammer certified!”
