CID AND WESTEND HIT ARMADA SUBJEKT WITH SECOND-EVER COLLAB: ‘LET ME TAKE YOU’

As the temperatures start rising and a salty breeze heralds a sun-laden season, nothing screams summertime like a track from Grammy-winning producer CID and tech house tastemaker Westend. After successfully linking up on their 2021 release ‘Keep On Jumpin’’, the New York natives are coming up trumps with their second-ever collaboration: ‘Let Me Take You’ on Armada Subjekt.

With their latest piece of studio output, CID and Westend have yet again delivered a prime example of a beach-club essential. Already at #3 in Beatport’s main chart and #2 in its Tech House chart about a week post-release, ‘Let Me Take You’ is a summer party must-have set to beef up DJ sets at clubs, festivals and street parties alike.

A staple in the electronic music scene since winning a Grammy Award for ‘Best Remixed Recording’ in 2015 for his work on Cedric Gervais’ remix of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’, NYC-based artist CID is one of dance music’s most in-demand artists. He’s performed at global festivals such as EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Bonnaroo, headlined various international clubs and venues, and notched his second Grammy nomination in February 2019 for his remix of pop supergroup LSD’s song ‘Audio’. His recent discography includes hits such as ‘Carnaval De Paris’, ‘How We Do’ (with Joshua) and last year’s aforementioned collab with Westend, ‘Jumpin’’.

A 27-year-old New York City native, Westend has solidified his spot as a must watch in the highly competitive tech house scene. The name Westend came from the beloved side of the city that cultivated his musical upbringing. Much like the city that shaped him, Westend’s work can be found at the cross streets of driving basslines, polished vocals and crisp, methodical production. Westend achieved initial recognition in 2018, and saw successful releases on tastemaker labels such as Solotoko, Techne, Club Sweat and Insomniac Records. In addition to strong releases, Westend has received consistent support from global power houses such as Diplo, MK, Gorgon City, Claude Von Stroke, Joel Corry and more. Westend’s single ‘Get This Party Started’ on Glasgow Underground peaked at #2 in Beatport’s main chart and stayed in the top 10 for over three months. He currently ranks as the sixth best-selling tech house artist and tenth overall over the last year on Beatport.
