Cloonee keeps the pressure on with fresh club heater ‘Back Of The Club’.

A man with short dark hair and tattoos stands against a dark background, looking down thoughtfully while wearing a black t-shirt.

Cloonee keeps his three-week run of weekly drops towards his debut album ‘Are You Still You? (AYSY?)’ moving with ‘Back Of The Club’, a no-nonsense cut that taps into another pocket of the sound that he’s become synonymous with in recent years. Energetic, hooky and built around an infectious R&B vocal sample, the track comes together via snappy drums, a driving low-end and a direct groove that gets straight to the point.

Following last week’s drop ‘Get Up And Dance’, which delivered another big moment in the run-up to the album’s release, ‘Back Of The Club’ arrives as the second of three consecutive weekly singles across the month. This time around, Cloonee leans straight into dancefloor instinct with a record that needs little explanation: the vocal catches immediately, the drums hit unapologetically, and the groove takes hold from the off.

It’s another reminder of the breadth sitting across ‘Are You Still You?’ without giving too much away, with the Hellbent Records head honcho unveiling different sides of the LP before the project arrives into full view. For now, ‘Back Of The Club’ is the latest piece of the puzzle to be added to the rotation, and it’s safe to say that it’s all gas, no brakes from here as the 6th October album date begins to appear on the horizon.

Cloonee ‘Back Of The Club’ is out now via Good Music For Bad People / Ministry Of Sound Recordings.
