At the beginning of April, Brazil experienced the greatest climatic tragedy in its history. The southern region was severely affected by heavy rains, especially the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where over 400 cities reported damage. So far, there have been 161 deaths, 82 missing, and 806 injured. More than 2.34 million people were affected, and over 649,000 had to leave their homes.
A chain of solidarity emerged from all parts of Brazil and the world, sending humanitarian aid to southern Brazil, including donations of food, clothing, hygiene products, and pet food. The electronic music scene in Brazil united with several actions to help Rio Grande do Sul. Renato Ratier, owner of D-Edge club, launched the solidarity ticket, where customers bring one kilogram of food and, in return, receive a 50% discount on the ticket purchase. Since the action began, D-Edge has been receiving tons of food every weekend.
Another action led by Renato Ratier is at his superclub, Surreal Park, located in southern Brazil near Rio Grande do Sul, the affected state. The superclub will hold a charity event, with 100% of the ticket sales being donated to the families affected by the tragedy. Artists, suppliers, and partners will work voluntarily, not charging any fees for this event, a true chain of solidarity that music can provide in such a delicate moment for Brazil.
The event at Surreal will take place on Sunday, the 26th, as a day party, pet-friendly, and children will also be welcome accompanied by their clubber parents. The idea is to unite the community through music. The lineup includes rising artists like Antdot, a reference in Afro-House, Classmatic, one of the great hit makers in tech-house today, and, of course, the Big Boss Ratier showcasing his extensive background and musical versatility. Talented local artists such as Nezello, Caio Amaral, and Leo Andreazza complete the lineup. An event for all tastes and tribes where the noble cause will help families rebuild their lives.
