Daft Punk have shared a new video for their track, ‘Contact’.The tune is best known for closing out the French electronic act’s final album, ‘Random Access Memories’. Released in 2013, the music has now been used for a cinematic sequence inspired by The Daft Punk Experience, which launched in September in the online video game universe, Fortnite.
The new clip follows the iconic Daft Punk robots on a journey through space, travelling towards a flashing signal. A recreation of the odyssey players embark on when they first start the online game, en route we encounter a number of familiar references to the band’s storied career.
This is the latest in a string of new Daft Punk content to appear in recent weeks. Thomas Bangalter made his first DJ appearance in 16 years at the end of October, joining Phantasy boss Erol Alkan Ed Banger founder Busy P and Fred again.. on stage in Paris to play tracks including Daft Punk’s ‘Digital Love’, ‘Rollin’ & Scrachin’ and ‘Contact’
