Singer-songwriter Daniel Etherton returns in 2023 with a brand new single ‘Mona Lisa’. An ode to Renaissance heroine Mona Lisa, the track features metaphorical lyricism that conveys an entrancement with the iconic painting.
In his own words about ‘Mona Lisa’, Daniel shares: “As a qualified art-historian and singer-songwriter it’s synonymous with who I am, what I do – what I love!”
‘Mona Lisa’ flaunts an impassioned vocal line across a euphoric soundscape that fuses pop sensibilities with a soulful undertone.
Straddling both singer-songwriter and art historian background, Daniel demonstrates his artistic flair with this latest release. The new offering teases the release of his debut EP ‘Rewrote It’, which will be out later this year.
ABOUT DANIEL ETHERTON
Taking inspiration from emotionally charged lyricists – Daughter, Lorde, Bon Iver, The xx, Frank Ocean – Daniel Etherton’s style has an honest tone which immediately evokes the feeling of nostalgia intertwined with modern relatability.
Balancing his debut releases whilst working in the art-world, it is apparent how aesthetics greatly impact his artistry both visually and sonically. This background also motivates him to work with global emerging artists on branding for his animation and single artwork.
All songs have achieved regional BBC Radio support; Unity Radio, Islington Radio, Shoreditch Radio, among others. As well as a multitude of global stations (Amazing Radio and SoundLab), playlists and publications (Hot Press). Debut single Foundations has been rotated on Spotify’s Easy Playlist, alongside second-single, Disappear, also featured on Spinnup Presents.
‘Mona Lisa’ is slated for release on February 10th, 2023.
Ahead of release, Daniel Etheron will be supporting Flawes on 27th January 2023 at The Grace, Islington.
