Phil Ireland unveils intimate acoustic rendition of his single ‘You Are The Sun’
A vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, solo performer, and band rolled into one, Phil Ireland is an accomplished musician with a unique style on offer, blending indie and rock with pop and soul sensibilities. Hot on the heels of his debut album release ‘Ruling Days’, Phil is now ready to unveil a new delicate version of one of the more personal songs from the project.
‘You Are The Sun’ was written by Phil during the 2020 lockdown to help with his grief of losing three of his grandparents. In his words about releasing this new version of the track, he shared: “I feel this fully acoustic version has grown past its original intention of being about coping with grief, it’s ultimately about love.”
In this stripped back soundscape, the listener is able to hear the raw emotions and connect with them on a deeper level.
