Danner (US) hails from Asbury Park in New Jersey and only began producing in 2019. His first release came in 2021 on the mighty Toolroom, and since then, he has made a lasting impression with further standout sounds on labels such as Rawthentic, Issues and Night Service Only. Earlier this year, he topped the Beatport charts for the first time with his ‘Such A Feeling’ EP on New York label Jack City, and his tunes have made their way into sets by tastemakers such as Solardo, Detlet, Sosa and Prok | Fitch.
He now kicks off this new label which is headed up by RN ISMO and has been launched to allow artists to step outside their comfort zone and with a mission to “create an environment where pure expression is the norm and self-doubt is a thing of the past.” The label will encourage artists to release work they truly believe in and never compromise during the creative process.
“I wanted to make something a bit outside of the box”, says Danner. “Something with a Latin vibe but not in the typical tech house sense.”
The superb ‘No Confies’ is an electrifying track with a tightly woven groove made from fresh drums and organic percussive details. It is chunky and hypnotic, with Spanish vocals bringing real heat up top and a taught bassline the perfect finishing touch. This one manages to be both charming and physical and is packed with nuance, so has all the things required to make it a real club weapon while also kicking off this new label in style.
